The Jekyll Island National Historic Landmark District is one of the largest ongoing historic preservation projects in the Southeast with 33 structures and 38 archaeological sites.
Several historic cottages are available for rent, providing a unique site for private parties, dinners, and receptions.
Jekyll Island offers daily guided tours of several restored turn-of-the-century "cottages". The tours offer a glimpse of life during the Jekyll Island Club era. Structures contain period furnishings, decorative arts, historical photographs, and club-era documents.
Goodyear Cottage houses the Jekyll Island Arts Association, a gift shop, and free monthly exhibits. Mistletoe Cottage houses the nationally renowned Rosario Fiore sculpture exhibit.
A free photographic exhibit in the Museum Orientation Center reflects on Jekyll Island's history from the first-known inhabitants to the present.
